POULSEN – the company
Short presentation
September 2006.
POULSEN was established 1910 which means that this “mature teenager” will become 100 years old in very near future.
From day one the company has been stable, well known and respected on the Icelandic market.
POULSEN has always been a family company and the present owners are few members of the Matthiasson family, who bought the company and took over the operation first half of 2001.
In 2005 Poulsen bought and took over the operation of the company OSG which stands for Orka and Snorri G. Gudmundsson. OSG was merged to Poulsen and the whole operation is located in our 4000 m2 premises at Skeifan 2 in Reykjavik.
The main reason for the merger of POULSEN and OSG is of course the same thing that is happening throughout the world, joining forces, making a larger and more profitable organization. We are in a ideal position to achieve this, since the two merged companies had almost the same customers registered.
With this merger POULSEN is now one of the top leader on the Icelandic market, in the automotive after market, the industrial components equipment, tools and etc.
Today the employees are over 30, most of them specialized individuals with long and wide experiences in many different business sectors.
We look forward to continue our good and pleasant co-operation and relationship with our many suppliers located in different countries.
The Matthiasson family is well known in this business, with good and lasting reputation.
All together we have long and successful history and in spite of many years in business we are young at heart and full of energy.
